Community Guidelines
A professional community for ambitious business acquirers.
The Acquirers Club exists to help business owners learn, share experiences and build better acquisition capabilities. The value of the community depends on the quality of its members and the standards we maintain together.
Our 10 principles
01
Owners and decision-makers first
Participation should be relevant to business ownership, leadership and growth through acquisition.
02
Contribute before promoting
Share useful questions, experiences and insights. Don't use the community mainly as a sales channel.
03
No unsolicited pitching
No cold direct messages, aggressive selling, spam or unsolicited advertising of advisory services, acquisition targets or investment opportunities.
04
Respect confidential information
Don't disclose confidential seller information, live negotiation details, commercially sensitive data or private member messages without permission.
05
Protect other members' privacy
Don't copy, share or publish members' personal information or community conversations without permission.
06
Be accurate and transparent
Make clear what is first-hand experience and what is opinion. Disclose relevant commercial interests, referral arrangements and conflicts.
07
No misleading claims
Don't post deliberately misleading valuations, fake credentials, false deal claims or misleading financial statements.
08
Respectful professional conduct
No harassment, intimidation, discrimination, personal abuse or persistent disruptive behaviour.
09
Seek appropriate professional advice
Member discussions are educational. They don't replace professional advice or proper checks on a real transaction.
10
Moderation protects the community
We may remove content, restrict access or end memberships for serious or repeated breaches, following our moderation process.

More detail
How moderation works
Most issues are handled with a friendly reminder. For serious or repeated breaches, we may remove content, limit access or end a membership. Where reasonable, we'll explain why and let you respond. See our Terms & Conditions.
Sharing deal experience safely
Talk about lessons, not identities. Remove names, numbers and details that could identify a business or person, unless you have permission to share them. No online community can guarantee absolute confidentiality.
Advisers and service providers in the Club
Professionals are welcome to share expertise. Disclose your role when it's relevant, and don't use the community to find clients. Introductions should only happen when both people agree.
Report a concern
If you see content or behaviour that breaks these guidelines, contact the Club team using our Contact page and choose "Community or membership issue".
